Wonderful World of Weddings Fashion Shows Highlight Latest Trends

MILWAUKEE, WIS. – High-energy fashion shows will take place at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily at the 58th annual Wonderful World of Weddings, Wisconsin’s longest-running and most prestigious wedding show. The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 10, and from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sun., Jan. 11, in West Allis, Wis., at the Exposition Center at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

The choreographed fashion shows, co-sponsored by The Morning Blend on Today’s TMJ4 and Spin City Events & Production, feature professional models and dancers. They will include fashions for brides and bridesmaids, mothers of the wedding couple, grooms and groomsmen, flower girls, mini brides, and ring bearers, plus trends in clothing accessories. Bouquets containing surprise gift cards will be tossed near the conclusion of each Show.

“The show’s segments are broken out by themes, with different genres of music and dancing signaling a change in the style focus,” said Kelly Kohl, owner of Kelly Kohl & Co., who will produce the fashion show and also serve as the program commentator. “We encourage everyone to stay until the conclusion to experience a special show close, plus have an opportunity to catch the bouquet.”

Tips to get the most from the fashion show:

  • Get a wedding-themed cocktail or mocktail at the event bar sponsored by Bartolotta’s Catering & Events beforehand.
  • Be seated about five minutes before the show begins.
  • Take a program to follow along and note your favorite styles.
  • Visit exhibitors’ booths after the show who carry your favorite style(s) to discuss your needs.

More than 100 Wonderful World of Weddings exhibitors will be available to consult with attendees on all aspects of wedding planning, including the latest in wedding gowns and men’s formal wear, catering, bakery and desserts, custom invitations, DJs and musicians, photographers and videographers, florists, reception facilities, travel planning, and more. Over 50 exhibitors will conduct in-booth giveaways, including complimentary products, discounts and coupons for services, gift certificates, and event tickets.

Attendees will also be able to register for a five-night honeymoon getaway, complete with airfare, to a RIU Resort of the winner’s choice, courtesy of First Choice Travel and Cruise, RIU Hotels & Resorts, and Apple Vacations. A variety of other raffle prizes with a $250 minimum value will be available, including Paddle Tavern providing an excursion on the Nauti Tiki charter, described as one of Milwaukee’s most unique on-water experiences, a 1-hour and 45-minute tour with a licensed captain, crew, and an unforgettable time on the water for up to 26 guests.
